In
Guatemala rafting is practiced in one of the most turbulent
rivers of Central America, The Cahabon River. Besides
its natural beauty, given by the landscape and water colour,
has rapids leveled III - IV, with c of calm water sections
and many attractions such as caves, waterfalls, thermal
waters, etc.
It
is the perfect combination between adrenaline and rest,
emotion and distraction, nature and adventure. You can
navigate the whole year, and you can navigate from one
to three consecutive days so camping is another adventure
element besides Rafting,

But,
do you need to be an expert participate in a trip like these?
No. The experts have to be the guides that instruct the group.
Yes, they have to be specially trained to control the raft, distinguish
the currents and the hydraulic formations, rescue procedures,
first aids and everything concerning safety.
Any person in a good physical state, enthusiastic for adventure
and nature you can enjoy a rafting trip without having to worryfor
anything but to follow you guides instructions.
Is it very tiring? Is it necessary to row a lot? No. One rows
only the necessary time to keep the raft in control. Generally,
you will have to strongly row in the rapids, and not in the whole
itinerary. The current drags the raft, and the only thing left
is to keep it under control. There you will also have the opportunity
to make play some sport such as water fights or swim a little
in the river, jump from a hanging bridge or explore a cave.
Since 1987 rafting has been commercially and professionally practiced
in Guatemala.
