Itinerary 6 days / 5 nights

DAY 1.  GUATEMALA CITY  FLORES / TIKAL
5:00am Transfer to the airport, 6:30 am Flight Guatemala – Flores. 7:30 am Welcome at the airport in Santa Elena, Petén, Mundo Maya, Box breakfast. Transfer to Tikal National Park. Guided visit among the great Mayan temples, plazas and other gigantic archeological structures.  Picnic lunch at the park and free time at the site.

DAY 2.  TIKAL – UAXACTUN / YUCATAN CAMP
Breakfast at hotel.  Departure to Uaxactún, visit the museum at the Chiclero-camp, owned by Neria Herrera our Jungle chef. Then drive into the jungle on 4x4 from Uaxactún to Yucatan Camp.
Overnight at Yucatan Camp.

DAY 3. YUCATAN CAMP – LENONTINA – NAKBE.
a six hour trek to Nakbe from Yucatan through The Maya Biosphere Reserve which is known worldwide as the fifth lung of the world.
Camp and overnight at Nakbe.

DAY 4.  NAKBE - MIRADOR
Optional trek or ride on mules from Nakbe to Mirador. Return to the designated area to set up camp… See the sunset atop Structure 1 while your guide shares chiclero stories and all the incredible things that happen around this jungle then enjoy a farewell dinner with your jungle guides. Overnight camping at Mirador.

DAY 5.  MIRADOR / CAMINO REAL
This morning after an early breakfast continue jungle trekking to the great site of El Mirador. You will be walking through one of the most ancient & also largest Maya cities, boasting the most massive pyramid ever built on Earth, named La Danta, the foundation of the structure alone is 2.8 million cubic meters and it covers a very large surface at its base: 6.5 by 3.5 (size of a football field). At Structure 34 you will appreciate a magnificent frieze depicting a jaguar paw and then explore the Leon Pyramid. 12:00 PM Heli transfer back to Flores.

DAY 6.   FLORES  GUATEMALA or ANTIGUA
Breakfast at hotel. 6:30am transfer to airport. Flight to Guatemala city 8:00am.
Arrival Guatemala 9:00, end of services or continue to Antigua or another place.
