Aguateca

Aguateca one of the twin capitals of Petexbatun, reveals an entire mystery, surrounded by a picturesque almost intact jungle still conserving an exquisite variety of fauna and flora with natural geologic fissure, makes this one of the most intense and vibrant places.

Itinerary - One day

Minibus will depart from Flores City towards Sayaxché, Petén. (aprox. Arriving time 1hr.).

We will take a boat towards Aguateca, beginning the tour by immersing in the jungle to afterwards, descend through the geological fissure and finalizing with a visit to the archaeological site.

Lunch will take place in one of the hotels on the shores of Petexbatun.

Head back to the boat to reach Sayaxché, subsequently to the mini bus and back to Flores City.

Ceibal

A natural and archaeological park located 2 ½ hours south of Flores, Petén, on the banks of La Pasión River. It was one of the most important Mayan commerce routes.

Itinerary - One day

Minibus will depart from Flores toward Sayaxché town.
(Approx travel time 1 hour)

We will take a boat on La Pasión River to Ceibal Archaeological Park, which will give you a chance to be in contact with the marvelous wildlife of Petén, for all the way through, you might see many of them especially crocodiles.

Upon arriving, a tour through the Archaeological Park Ceibal place of the sacred tree, La Ceiba abundant in the area giving life to a fascinating scenario, with temples and trails carefully carved in stone.

Lunch will be a lunchbox type of meal.

Head back to the boat to reach Sayaxché, subsequently to the mini bus and back to Flores City.
