Turismo Aventura believes in the right of future generations have a healthy environment and natural resources that contribute to a better quality of life. No matter where you go or how you travel, you will have an effect on the environment and the people you visit. You travel; you will have an effect on the environment and the people you visit. But we also believe that you can have a more authentic and meaningful trip when sustainable tourism practices are applied.

Environmental Policy
We have an evergreen Guatemala! Doing our part and encouraging greater environmental awareness that allows us to plan for responsible travel, properly handling waste places mainly in ecological and making efficient use of energy and water. We shared commitments to our customers.

Water management and consumption: we know that water is vital for life and therefore commit ourselves to make proper use of water, both in the office and in the field.

Energy Efficiency: Within the office environment, Turismo Aventura is committed to reducing the use of electricity, and incorporating all technology available to avoid unnecessary consumption. On our tours, help us to use only the energy necessary.

Waste Management: Turismo Aventura acquires, whenever possible, products that are biodegradable, returnable, recycled or recyclable, in order to minimize waste during its operation of its travel programs.

Transportation: Turismo Aventura will contract its transportation services considering energy efficiency, looking to reduce unnecessary consumption of gasoline, and production of emissions and noise.

Biodiversity Conservation: Turismo Aventura seeks to minimize the impact of its passengers in wildlife areas and other sites, avoiding impact on the flora, fauna and landscape, and respecting the fragility of those ecosystems. We do not promote or engage in activities that damage natural biodiversity in our region.

Social/Cultural Policy

Contribution to local Development: Turismo Aventura recognizes the ability of the tourism industry to generate direct and indirect benefits in the localities where it grows. Therefore, our operations and planned of services are mainly focusing on the recruitment of local suppliers, provided that in addition to being available, meet their requirements, quality and sustainability principles promoted by our company.

Respect local Cultures and People: All tours and itineraries that promote Turismo Aventura. It will respect the values and local cultures. Turismo Aventura does not accept, under any circumstances that within its sphere of influence, their operations or their partners, to promote activities that undermine the principles, moral and social of people.

Local employment: On Turismo Aventura, our staff is from local communities to generate support and integration of the tourism business.

Service Quality Policy

Responding to overall quality criteria and new market trends, Turismo Aventura is committed to excellence, minimizing any errors in customer service, considering the tourist and other sources to provide information that aids in the research, communication, construction and redesign of services.

Selection of Suppliers/Partners: Turismo Aventura will give priority to those suppliers/partners who’s bring together an excellence in product and service quality with responsibility actions in the social-environmental field or that demonstrate explicit interest in achieving such goals.

Monitoring our Service Quality: Turismo Aventura encourages feedback from clients and other sources in order to obtain interpret and direct information that allows us to constantly seek quality service.

Values: Turismo Aventura has a work performance objective to embrace the highest human values, highlighting within them: humility, loyalty, professionalism, consideration and solidarity.

Turismo Aventura  and the Rainforest Alliance have established an alliance to work with the operator’s suppliers in Best Management Practices since April 2010.
