    Day 1 Arrive to Guatemala – Antigua Guatemala D

    Meeting upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in the colonial city of Antigua Guatemala. (1hr) the country’s original capital, declared a World Cultural Heritage site by UNESCO in 1979.

    Day 2 Antigua Guatemala B

    Today you will take a half day walking tour of Antigua. (3-4hr). the tour takes in the main square, Palace, Cathedral, La Merced Church & San Francisco Church. Free time afternoon.

    Day 3 Pacaya Volcano B

    Today you will be picked up at your hotel lobby and be taken on an adventure to the most active volcano in Guatemala, with an altitude of 2500 mts. above sea level. With an impressive view of Laguna Calderas also Agua, Fuego and Acatenango volcanoes. If active, you will get to see the lava eruption from a safe distance.

    Day 4 Lake Atitlan B L

    Morning transfer to Panajachel 2.5hrs then take a scenic boat ride across Lake Atitlan to the village of Santiago where you’ll be visiting the Maya god Maximon and learn about the spiritualism and beliefs of the T’zutujil Maya. Also visit San Juan La Laguna, a village famous for its attractive murals on every side of the streets.

    Day 5 Zunil & Almolonga B L

    After your breakfast you are transferred to the traditional vegetable growing town of Almolonga, Quetzaltenango (Xela) where we visit the Catholic Church and vegetable market (Wednesday and Saturday main market days) From there we travel to the picturesque town of Zunil where we visit the market (Monday main market day) a weaving cooperative, the majestic 16th century Catholic church, and San Simon (a colorful local Saint worshipped in Zunil) Next we drive up a picturesque mountain road to the Fuentes Georginas hot springs take a relaxing bath. After at the hot springs, we travel to the Copavic glass blowing cooperative in Cantel.

    Day 6 Sierra de los Cuchumatanes B L

    We ride out of Xela in the early morning and very quickly find ourselves at the bottom of a major ascent at an average height of 3,100 meters above sea level, this ride provides us with breathtaking views of the backbone of the Cuchumatanes Mountains and we pass through many small Indian villages along the way. These small villages will give us an excellent insight into the way of life of the rural Guatemalan people. Near the top of the climb is a belvedere where, on a clear day, views stretch as far as the volcanoes around Quetzaltenango. A bit further above the viewpoint, we start a rolling section of trail on a mixture of old jeep tracks and single-track as we make our way across the plateau.

    Day 7 Laguna Magdalena B L

    Today visit the Magdalena Lagoon, located on the Sierra de Los Cuchumatanes. On the way we will pass small agricultural villages and learn about the daily life. We will also pass beautiful landscapes with impressive plains and vegetation.

    Day 8 Ruta Verapaz B L

    We continue with our Guatemala Route trip, along a forgotten route from the mountains to the Verapaces, we change to a cloud forest, the climate is still mild.

    Day 9 Semuc Champey B L

    Semuc Champey is definitely a do-it-yourself kind of attraction is a 300 m long natural forming limestone bridge that has six turquoise blue water pools. Take a nice 45 minutes hike through the jungle to the viewpoint, “El Mirador”. The view at the top is gorgeous, both of Semuc and the lush green mountains surrounding it. We are also going to explore the Kamba Caves so you can start the splash.

    Day 10 Lanquin B L

    Day leisure at Lanquin.

    Day 11 Cuevas de Candelaria B L

    We leave for Flores and on the way, we visit the most impressive cave complex in Central America. Cuevas de Candelaria has some impressive rooms to appreciate, we can do tubing if the river allows it.

    Day 12 Tikal B L

    Explore the amazing Mayan Temple site at Tikal where huge Mayan temples rise above the jungle canopy and monkeys and tropical birds are abundant in the surrounding rainforest. After lunch, guests will transfer to hotel at El Remate.

    Day 13 Rio Dulce B L

    Today you will be transferred to Rio Dulce (3.5hrs).

    Day 14 Rio Dulce Canyon – Guatemala City B L

    Cruise the Rio Dulce River through the central canyon and down to the Garifuna town of Livingston on the Coast. Explore Livingston then journey back downriver to Rio Dulce and per chance see the elusive Manatee. Once back at Rio Dulce private ground transfer Guatemala City.

    Day 15 Guatemala - OUT

    This morning our driver will transfer guests to the airport in plenty of time to catch your international flight onwards.
